It is my sad duty to report the passing of Robert Guyot, Marine Nationale veteran of World War
II, who served in the battleship Dunkerque and was a survivor of the battle at Mers-el-Kebir and the Nazi occupation of France. Mr. Guyot, who was also a painter, resided in Strasbourg and passed away on March 25, 2008.

Congratulations for your site! In fact, I am French and I write to you because my father Jean-Paul Lorcet aged of 88 was on the destroyer Mogador. He was one of the survivors of this tragedy. Today, he lives in Brittany. I would like to know if it exists an association of English sailors who participated in that battle. Thank you for answering me.

Best wishes,
François Lorcet
