MaritimeQuest can only stay online through donations from users of the site. Last year was the first time
I had to actively ask for donations, and once again I must ask for the users of the site to keep it online.
Many other sites like Wikipedia and the Internet Archive, who do good work and are far larger and more
complicated than MQ is, ask for donations to keep operating. MQ is no different, we need money to keep the
site up and running. This year the goal is $1800. The site had to move to a dedicated server early last year,
and as with everything, all support services used my MQ have increased in price. We have until Feb. 4, 2025
to raise the necessary funds. Last year we reached the goal a month early, and while we have all
experienced the poor economy and inflation, I feel confident that there will be enough good folks who make small donations which will keep MQ online for everyone. There are two ways to donate, use the link below
