July 22, 1939: HMY Victoria and Albert seen from Dartmouth Castle at arriving at Dartmouth, Devon, England with HM King George VI, HM Queen Elizabeth HRH Princess Margaret and 13 year old HRH Princess Elizabeth embarked for a two day visit. On this occasion, Princess Elizabeth met, for the first time, Cadet Prince Mountbatten RN, 8 years later they were to marry and he is now, of course, Prince Philip.
