American Army Hospital White Court Park Memorial
Braintree, Essex, England

A memorial dedicated to the doctors, nurses, service personnel and members of the American Red Cross who worked at the U.S. Army Hospital at White Court Park. (Like today when we are living with the Wuhan Virus pandemic, the medical personnel of World War II were heroes of their time.) The hospital, which was built of Nissen huts and tented wards has long since been removed, but the memorial stands as a permanent reminder of the courage and sacrifices made by those who served there. These photos were taken on Remembrance Day 2019.
