Note the report at top right: "Raider Sailed 4 Hrs. in Convoy"
(The German cruiser Admiral Hipper did sail, unidentified, in the convoy flying the British flag. After raising the German war ensign, Hipper sank 8 ships (7 in convoy SLS-64 and 1 from convoy HG-53, which was sunk on the 11th) and damaged three others on Feb. 12th.)
Also note the report in column 5: "1,502 Raid Deaths in January"
(Civilian air raid casualties for January 1941. The figures include 189 children killed.)
