Fifty years ago today on November 22, 1963 the former commanding officer of USS PT-109, and at that time President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Kennedy was struck down by a known communist named Lee Harvey Oswald. The reason for the assassination has never been uncovered, and because Oswald was killed two day later, it never will be known.
