Daily Event for March 13, 2012

The wooden bark Royal Visitor was built in 1860 in Quebec by Thomas Hamilton Oliver. She was just under 200' long and 1,220 net tons when built. She was originally owned by R&R Davis of Liverpool, by 1893 she was owned by a Norwegian company. On March 13, 1893 she sailed from Pensacola, Florida for Greenock, Scotland and was never seen again.
