Daily Event for November 15, 2010

November 15, 1927 the Japanese destroyer Fubuki was launched at Kosakuba in Maizuru, Japan. Of the 20 Fubuki class destroyers built between 1927 and 1931 only Ushio survived the war, and she had been badly damaged at Manila by U.S. aircraft. The unrepaired destroyer was towed to Yokosuka where it was surrendered after the war. Fubuki was sunk Oct. 11, 1942 by U.S. Navy cruisers at the Battle of Cape Esperance,
