September 3, 1894 the Clan Campbell was launched at the Naval Construction & Armaments Company in Barrow (later known as Vickers) for the Clan Line. This was the second of many ships that would carry the name, most of them would also be lost. The steamer built in 1894, according to one source was lost in the Second World War, but I have been unable to locate any information on what her name was or who was operating her at the time.
