Aug. 26, 1919 the Kawasaki Company in Kobe, Japan launched two destroyers, the Nashi and Take of the Matsu
Class. Both survived the war, although Nashi was sunk in the harbor by U.S. Aircraft, but she was raised and
commissioned into the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force as Wakaba DE-261.
