Daily Event for May 25, 2007


May 25, 1918 the German destroyer V-74 was sunk by a German mine. The mine exploded while transferring
it from a supply ship to the V-74 at Zeebrugee, Belgium. She sank in shallow water and was raised and repaired, but eleven crewmen were killed by the explosion.
