My Uncle Henry McNeill flew with Colonel Tibbets during WWII but never left the US.  He retired from the US Air Force in 1962. I always loved to hear about his time in the service. I have met several of the Raiders when they were in Columbia, SC several years ago. Thanks for the site about the Raiders.

Thank you General Tibbets for your selfless and heroic service to our country. Thank you for ultimately forcing the hand of our enemies at that time and bringing WWII to an end, saving thousands if not millions of American lives with your historically significant mission in the Enola Gay. The World will always owe you and your crew a debt of gratitude.
