(The Admiralty announced the capture of two Axis ships, one German one Italian. The German ship, Norderney, scuttled, but the Italian ship, Stella, was captured. It served through the war as the British Empire Planet.)

(Sounds like fake news, but this was true. The Germans did contact the Red Cross and made arrangements for Wing Commander Douglas Bader a new leg. He had lost one of his prosthetic legs when he bailed out over France.)
Also note the report in column 6: "Nazis Arrest Antonescu"
(Right under the true report about Bader's leg, the Press and Journal, once again, publishes another propaganda report from Radio Moscow. The claim was that Romanian dictator Ion Antonescu had been arrested by the Nazis. This was not true, but he was arrested after the war by the Romanian authorities and executed for war crimes.)
