I was curious if you may know the whereabouts of the USS IDAHO silver set that is pictured on your website?

I have been researching my grandfather and found his navy diary of his cruise on the USS Idaho 1908-1911. He was an electrician, I believe 2nd Petty Officer, he names several shipmates, describes a man overboard with the date death of one man in a turret and tells of his port calls in England and France, the sail down the Mississippi, Atlantic coast, the Gulf, Cuba Guantanimo, Caribbean etc. plus data on gun firings and "games " with other ships. There are hand written charts and drawings plus newspaper clippings of the era and photos and souvenirs. Every day's activities is accounted for. There is a small green button with the number 13 attached to the diary, I don't know the significance of this. He mentions a visit on ship from "Helms" and other officers.

My father, Jason Ira Young, served on this ship in mid 20's. I have several photos and his Neptunus Rex certificate. Jason was born Sept. 5, 1905 and passed away May 16, 2001.
