April 26, 1946: MTB Squadron 40 being commissioned at the New York Naval Shipyard, Brooklyn, New York.
The only identifiable boat is USS PT-593. MTB Squadron consisted of PT-589 thru PT-600 under the command
of Lt. Commander George E. Cox Jr. USNR, it decommissioned on Dec. 21, 1945.
