I was one of the original plank-owner crew members that commissioned the Waddell (The Duck) in 1964. A new ship; a very young crew that went to war in Vietnam to protect our country. The memories that the crew made in war, and liberty's is something none of us will ever forget. Some of us have been buried as our ship has been, but the ones still alive have some fantastic story's to tell their grandchildren. To sail on the Waddell was a honor, and privilege; never to be forgotten.
