September 14, 2000: USS Cole DDG-67 in the Atlantic ocean enroute to the Mediterranean Sea.

October 12, 2000: USS Cole DDG-67 damage to the port side caused by a terrorist attack at Aden, Yemen.
The attack was carried out while the Cole was at anchor refueling. Seventeen crew members were killed and
thirty nine were injured in the attack.
