HMS Exmouth was converted to gas turbine propulsion in 1967. The first RN ship to be propelled entirely with gas turbine engines paving the way for the Type 21 frigates and Type 42 destroyers. I served as the last CERA - taking this delightful ship to her eventual demise.  The team of engineers in the ship were one of the best teams from top to bottom. The Olympus and Proteus engines were removed for future use. With thanks and keep up the excellent work!
