The original ship named Jutland was laid down Aug. 14, 1944 at Hawthorn Leslie, launched Nov. 2, 1945, but cancelled Oct. 23, 1945. The hull was sold Oct. 17, 1957 to Shipbreaking Industries, Rosyth, Scotland and was towed to that location and scrapped. |
