My father George John Smith from Margate, Kent, England served on the Warspite during World War II and was
on board during the Normandy landings. I would like to find or get copies of any official documents which include
his name or any other articles pertaining to the ship. My father is now in his 80's and would welcome any
information from anyone who can remember him or also served on the Warspite.

Thank you,
Brian Smith

I am interested to know if anyone can remember my father, Alan Austwick, who was on HMS Warspite from 1943 to 1945 and was serving on the ship on 6 June 1944 at the D Day Normandy Landings. I have just found his naval record book and found out this information.

HMS Warspite during the period 1939 to 1941. John is residing in the UK now aged 85 yrs. He would welcome any contact. My name is Chris Shelton ex Merchant Navy. I am researching for John's son Mark Haggerwood.
I am presently residing in Bangkok Thailand. Great site by the way. Well done

Many Thanks.

My uncle served on the HMS WARSPITE during WWII and I would like to know if his name appears on any crew list. Or any other information possible about EMANUEL ZAMMIT (was from Malta)

Thank you.

Thank you for your site.

My grandfather served on the Warspite in World War II. His Name was Harold Wright. He served, "On 6 June 1944, Warspite took part in the Normandy Landings as part of the Eastern Task Force, firing on German positions to cover the landing at Sword Beach." He was from Great Yarmouth, England.
