Forby Sutherland Memorial
Kurnell, New South Wales, Australia

The Forby Sutherland Memorial, located at Kurnell on the shores of Botany Bay. Sutherland was a seaman on the Endeavour during James Cook's first voyage 1769-1771 and died during the Endeavour's time in Botany Bay. He thus became the first British subject to be buried in Australia.
