(Note: This was one of the locations attacked by the Islamic terror group Lashkar-a-Taiba in November of 2008. The attackers were assisted by Pakistan's intelligence service and resulted in the murder of 164 people. The hotel sustained damage from a fire, but was rebuilt and remains open today.)

Kenneth Lord joined the Royal Navy on Jan. 14, 1942. After training at HMS Raleigh, HMS Victory, HMS Drake and HMS Caroline he joined the commissioning crew of HMS Unicorn on Jan. 14, 1943. He remained in Unicorn throughout the Second World War and left the ship on Apr. 16, 1946. Kenneth was demobbed on July 2, 1946.

The collection presented here was shows the activities and ports of call of HMS Unicorn during her wartime duty.
