Sunk Mar. 14, 1886 after being rammed by the schooner Charles H. Morse. Location: North Atlantic, 60 miles east of Sandy Hook, New Jersey. (40.30.49N - 72.50.24W) All 845 on board were rescued by SS Fulda (North German Lloyd), the pilot boat Phantom and the schooner Fannie A. Gorham. None of the 9 on the Charles H. Morse survived. |
