Note the report in column 6: "13 Ships Sunk in Arctic Convoy - German Claim"
(The attack took place between May 26 and 29 against convoy PQ-16. The German claim of 13 ships for 88,000 tons being sunk was overstated by half. In all 7 ships were sunk totaling 43,540 GRT. Only one, the 6,191-ton U.S. freighter Syros, was sunk by U-boat, the rest were sunk by aircraft from I./KG26 and KG 30. Those were the 5,689-ton U.S. freighter Alamar, which was damaged and had to be scuttled by HM Submarine Trident, the 6,502-ton U.S. freighter City of Joliet, the 7,457-ton British freighter Empire Lawrence, the 7,049-ton British freighter Empire Purcell, the 5,171-ton British freighter Lowther Castle, and the 5,481-ton U.S. freighter Mormacsul. In total twenty-nine men lost their lives in these ships.)
Also note the report in columns 7-8: "Nazis Begin Prague Terror Killings - Two Families are Wiped Out"
(This was just a small action, by the time the Germans were done, two villages had been razed, the male inhabitants shot, women and children sent to concentration camps. Many children were kidnapped and given to German families, even after the war, many of these children could not find their parents or any surviving relatives because they were too young to remember what their original name was.)
Also note the report in column 4: "Lift Daily Worker Ban, Says Leader"

Note the report in column 1: "Land Survivors - Axis Radio Claims Said in Error"
(Survivors from the 5,072-ton British freighter Barradale and the 1,406-ton Dutch freighter Astrea were reported earlier as survivors from a sunken U.S. battleship. If one had been sunk, it would have been reported, even the Germans know that the sinking of a capital ship is not something you can hide from the public. Unless you consider that the British battleship HMS Barham, was sunk on Nov. 25, 1941 and the news was not released to the public by the Admiralty until Jan. 27, 1942. Or if you consider the loss of USS Lexington CV-2 which was sunk at the Battle of the Coral Sea on May 8, 1942, the news of which was not released to the U.S. public until June 12th. In fact, the U.S. public were told by the U.S. Navy that; "No U.S. carriers or battleships known lost in battle." Well, I guess you can hide the news of the loss of a capital ship from the public.)
Also note the report in column 4: "Californian Killed"
(Robert L. Little, a pilot from the American Volunteer Group [A.V.G., known as the Flying Tigers] was killed in combat on May 22.)

Note the report in column 2: "U-Boat Captain Offers Cigars"
(The unidentified ship was the 3,282-ton Plow City, which was sunk by U-588. Kapitänleutnant Viktor Vogel and his U-588, along with the entire crew, were sunk by Canadian corvettes on July 31, 1942.)
Also note the report in column 5: "Communists Barred From Ohio Election"
(I am a free speech advocate, but in the case of communists, I agree with silencing them. We now have over 100 years of experience with communism and the people who profess the communist philosophy. We also have over 100,000,000 dead bodies courtesy of the same. Communism is so destructive, so evil, that it must be fought at every turn. There is no argument that can paint communism in a good light, we have the evidence that it is not. When people like Bernie Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez profess the wonders of socialism, they are advocating for the destruction of society, and they know it. In my view, that makes them and people like them, evil. Make no mistake, they are every bit as evil as Adolf Hitler. Just remember, communism / socialism / nazism are all diseased branches of the same evil, totalitarian tree.)
