(Click on the image for a readable version.)
Note the report in column 4: "U.S. Patrols Exact U-Boat Toll"
(The unaccredited report claims that the U.S. Navy had attacked and sank several German submarines over the last few weeks. It states; "that Germany has suffered losses far more substantial than any [of] her submarines have so far inflicted on America's patrols." The total number of German U-Boats sunk by U.S. forces to date was zero. The total number of U.S. warships sunk or damaged by German U-Boats was two damaged, one sunk. The "substantial losses" of U-Boats in September of 1941 was two, in October it was two and to this date in November, the total was zero.)

(Josef Stalin, through radio Moscow, tells the world that 4,500,000 German troops have been killed, captured or are missing since the beginning of the war on June 22. Three days earlier the figure claimed was only 4,000,000. According to Wikipedia, German casualties during Operation Barbarossa from June 22, 1941 until Dec. 5, 1941 were:

186,542 killed
40,157 missing
655,179 wounded.
Total: 881,878.)

Also note the report in column 5: "Fatal Poisoning Threatens Circus Elephants"
(Seven elephants of the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus have died of poisoning. A report in the late edition of The Evening Star identifies the poison as arsenic.)

Note the report in columns 3-4: "Nazis Open New Drive To Eliminate Jews"
(If it's on the front page of the newspaper, how can anyone say, nobody knew what was happening?)
Also note the report in column 5: "Big Nazi Battleship Damaged by Russians"
(Moscow claims to have damaged the Tirpitz in an air raid on Danzig. This was another false claim by the Russians. Tirpitz was at Deutsche Werke in Kiel, Germany at the time. The sister ship to the Bismarck was finally sunk on Nov. 12, 1944 by the Royal Air Force at Håkøya Island near Tromsø, Norway.)
[More about Bismarck here.]
