(The report states that Hitler called Sigmund (actually Wilhelm) List thanking him for the conquests of Yugoslavia and Greece. List, was reported just yesterday as having committed suicide.)

Note the photo at top right of Vizeadmiral Karl Dönitz presenting Kapitänleutnant Herbert Kuppisch, commanding officer of U-94, the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuz (Knights Cross of the Iron Cross.) Kuppisch was killed on Aug. 27, 1943 when his U-847 was sunk by U.S. Navy aircraft.
