Note the report in columns 5-6: "Churchill Reports: 2 Cruisers, 4 Destroyers Lost By Britain Off Crete"
(The Prime Minister admitted the loss of HM cruisers Gloucester and Fiji, but did not mention HMS York, which had also been lost at Crete. This loss had been mentioned by itself in earlier news reports, but should have been included in his speech. He also admitted the loss of HM destroyers Greyhound, Juno, Kashmir and Kelly. He did not mention the five motor torpedo boats also lost at Crete. In total over 2,000 Royal Navy sailors had been killed during the Crete action.)
