Note the report in column 5: "Wave Of Propaganda Against Poles"
(A Nazi campaign designed to create [German] public opinion against the Poles. The most ironic sentence in the report is thus; "Such a people has lost the right to human respect for ever." The quote is attributed to the Völkischer Beobachter, the official newspaper of the NSDAP. I know not what "Polish atrocities" they are referring to, but if those could cause a loss of "human respect for ever" what would one deserve for the murder of 12 million people?)

(No German U-boats were sunk for any reason between Nov. 29, 1940 and Mar. 6, 1941. It is possible that the Greeks sank the Italian submarine Neghelli in the Aegean on or about Jan. 19 however, the British claimed to have sunk her. To date there is no confirmation of the actual cause of the loss.)

Note the report in column 1: "Scotland Yard Agents Raid Offices of Communist Paper"
(On orders from the Home Secretary, Herbert Morrison, M.P., the communist newspapers, The Daily Worker and the Week, have been banned from publication. The decision had actually been made by the War Cabinet on Jan. 13, but had been under consideration for several months. The ban was lifted in Sept. of 1942 a few months after Germany invaded Russia. The attitude of the newspapers changed after the German invasion of Russia. Before the invasion, when it "appeared" that Germany and the communists in the Soviet Union were allies, the communist papers were less than enthusiastic about Great Britain fighting the Germans. However, when Germany attacked the Soviets, the communist rags changed their tune and fully backed the British war effort. Typical communist/left-wing tactics.)
