(Report claims sunk destroyer Audacieux (actually L'Audacieux) and captured Gloire. L'Audacieux was badly damaged on Sept. 23, but went aground and was refloated and repaired. Sunk while in drydock at Bizetre, French Tunisia by Allied aircraft on May 7, 1943. Scrapped in 1947. The cruiser Gloire was captured, without a fight, by Australia and HMS Cumberland on Sept. 18, 1940.)
