Daily Event for May 26, 2011

May 26, 1915 the Danish cargo ship Betty was torpedoed without warning and sank about 190 miles east of Dundee, Scotland. The crew were fortunate that no other torpedoes were fired and that the steamer Waldemar arrived and picked them up. There were no casualties.
