May 6, 1905 at the shipyard of Nefie & Levi in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the cruiser St. Louis C-20 was launched. The ship was christened by Miss Gladys Bryan Smith who was flanked by maids of honor Miss Mary S. Wright and Miss Rebecca Reeves van Lennep. The ship served in various capacities until she was decommissioned in 1922, she was scrapped in 1930. |
