January 10, 1943 at Consolidated Steel Corp. in Orange, Texas the destroyer escort Pillsbury DE-133 was launched. Pillsbury was involved in the sinking of U-515 and U-546, but the most famous event she was involved in was the capture of U-505. Pillsbury was scrapped in 1966, but U-505 still survives as a museum boat in Chicago.
