Daily Event for January 8, 2010

On Jan. 8, 1888 the Clan Ogilvie was wrecked near Razzoli Island in the Straits of Bonaifacio, Corsica. The ship built in 1882 was en route from Bombay to Marseilles, France with a cargo of wheat and a few passengers. It was reported that all passengers and crew had been removed safely, but it appears the ship sank shortly afterwards.
