On Jan. 8, 1888 the Clan Ogilvie was wrecked near Razzoli Island in the Straits of Bonaifacio, Corsica. The ship built in 1882 was en route from Bombay to Marseilles, France with a cargo of wheat and a few passengers. It was reported that all passengers and crew had been removed safely, but it appears the ship sank shortly afterwards. |
