Daily Event for February 13, 2009

The Taxandrier, a cargo ship built in 1900 sailed from New York bound for Bordeaux, France on Feb. 13, 1917 never to be seen again. What happened to the ship and twenty-nine man crew is unknown. Perhaps a storm sent her to the bottom or perhaps a U-boat that never returned to report the attack sent her down, we may never know.
