June 25, 1921 one of the only non fatal accidents involving a K class submarine occurred on this day when the HMS K-15 sank at the Portsmouth Dockyard. Freak weather conditions caused a hydraulic vent to open sinking the submarine. The steam powered boat was raised and repaired. |
