Daily Event for May 11

May 11, 1931 the Greek submarine Nereus Y-4 sank off Pyrgos taking her entire 41 man crew with her. The sinking was an accident attributed to a misunderstood order. (of what nature I do not know.) She was raised and repaired and served through World War 2. Ironically the boat that sunk was the only one of her class to survive the war. All three of her sisters were sunk by enemy action.
