Daily Event for March 27


March 27, 1895 the steamship Dunkeld hit a submerged derelict off Lobos Island, Argentina and sank. She was built in Glasgow in 1880 as the Katie for Stettiner Lloyd and sold to the Furness Line in 1886. In 1890 she was sold to J&M Gunn Co. and used on the South America route.
