(The headline refers to the action against HM ships on Sept. 25 (reported on Sept. 26.) The Germans would claim that HMS Ark Royal was sunk in this action, the first time of several that the Germans claimed sinking Ark Royal. Ultimately HMS Ark Royal was sunk by U-81 on Nov. 14, 1941.
