Note the report at top right: "Hindenburg Dam Raided By R.A.F."
(I have not found anything in the historical record or official papers that indicates that this ever happened. On Jan. 11, 1940 another report of the dam being bombed was published. Again on Jan. 19, 1940 the dam was reported to have been bombed. None of these reports seem to have been true.)
