Note: In addition to the Sullivan and Rogers brothers, four other sets of brothers were also lost.

(Charles had survived the sinking of USS Wasp CV-7 and joined the crew of Juneau at Nouméa, New
Caledonia on Sept. 16, 1942.)

Albert and Michael Krall of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Harold and William Weeks of Delawanna, New Jersey.

Richard and Russell White of Flint, Michigan.

There were also three sets of men who in all likelihood were blood relations who were lost in Juneau.



June 14, 1942: Captain Lyman K. Swenson, USN seen ashore at Fox Harbor, Newfoundland. Captain Swenson perished when Juneau was sunk on Nov. 13, 1942.



October 26, 1942: USS Juneau CL-52 seen during the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands putting up an anti-aircraft barrage against two Japanese aircraft.
