October 1947 Aircraft Operations in the Mediterranean

This series of photographs show aircraft operations on HMS Ocean in the Mediterranean in October 1947. They are from a photo album of the 6th Airborne Division Signal Regiment, 216 Parachute Signal Squadron in Palestine in 1947-48 and were taken by a member of 216 Parachute Signal Squadron. The above photo shows an unidentified destroyer off the stern port quarter of HMS Ocean and on deck preparations for aircraft recovery. The photos were kindly provided by Keith Brooker from his collection.
