Note the headline: "Nazis Boast Victory Over Britain's Navy"
(The headline is correct "Nazis Boast" but the actual report is incorrect. Yes, the Germans did tell the press they had a very successful attack, and after reading the reports from the German High Command, it appears that they actually believed what their pilots told them. There was an attack by the Luftwaffe on British ships, but none were actually hit.)
