Day 75

November 14, 1939: Front page of The Daily Mail, Hull, England.
(Click on the image for a readable version.)
Also note the report in column 6: "Nazi Threat To British Liners"
(In agreements and treaties signed by both powers the Germans are correct in saying that arming merchant ships is against the rules. All of this bluster, on both sides, really did not amount to anything. Complete unrestricted sea warfare was always going to be the result of Hitler's war. The back and forth between the belligerents was only for the consumption of the public.)
Also note the report in column 7: "Soviet and Japan to Discuss Frontier"

November 14, 1939: Front page of The Leeds Mercury, Leeds, England.
(Click on the image for a readable version.)
Note the report in column 5: "Liner Sinks: 11 Lives Lost"
(The Admiralty announced the next day that the ship had run into a British laid minefield.)
Also note the report just below that one: "Clements Crew Home"
(This ends the long journey for the crew of SS Clement, which was the first ship sunk by the German cruiser Admiral Graf Spee, not the Admiral Scheer as the report states.)

Also note the report in column 7: "Has The Bremen Left Murmansk"
(The fate of the German passenger ship Bremen was still a concern to the Admiralty and the press.)

November 14, 1939: Front page of The Midland Daily Telegraph, Coventry, England.
(Click on the image for a readable version.)
Note the report in column 3: "Poland's Statue Of Liberty Blown up by Nazis at Potsdam"
(Poland's "Statue of Liberty" happened to be a statue of Jesus The King. Destruction of statues and monuments (especially those of a Deity) is a staple of totalitarian/leftist regimes. Destruction of God as a concept is a must for such regimes because they want to replace God with the State.

A modern day equivalent would be when ISIS destroyed centuries old Buddhist statues and other antiquities. Or when this past summer radical leftists in the U.S.A. destroyed hundreds of statues and defaced and damaged memorials, including statues of Jesus Christ.

The leftist destruction in the U.S.A. was mostly organized by radical college trained leftist, and many people from the Antifa and BLM groups. Antifa, which claims to be anti-Fascist, but in every respect operates exactly like Hitler's SA (Strumabteilung) and the BLM group, which is more in line with the CCCP (Central Committee of the Communist Party) claimed to be destroying "offensive" statues of Confederate leaders, but in reality, they were indiscriminate and just destroyed whatever they could find, regardless of who or what it represented, including statues of Jesus Christ.)

November 14, 1939: Front page of the Grimsby Evening Telegraph, Grimsby, England.
(Click on the image for a readable version.)

Note the report at top right: "Ex-Kaiser Blamed for Explosion at Munich"
(The report, from an unnamed source in Belgium, claims that Kronprinz Wilhelm of Prussia has been executed and others, including at least two German Generals had been arrested. None of this was true.)

November 14, 1939: Front page of the Evening Telegraph, Dundee, Scotland.
(Click on the image for a readable version.)

Note the report in column 1: "Three Ships Strike Same Wreck"
(The ships hit the wreck of SS Canada, which was sunk on Nov. 3 by a German mine. See Nov. 8, 1939.)
