Note the report in column 6: "Freighter Sinks Submarine
(The kindest way to describe this is to call it wishful thinking. Only one Japanese submarine was lost in April of 1942. Ro-30 was sunk by USS Tautog SS-199 on Apr. 26.)

Note the report in column 7: "To Succeed Von Leeb"
(This time the report was accurate, Generalfeldmarschall Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb was relieved of his command by Adolf Hitler, this was due to fundamental disagreement with the Führer on his freedom of command over his forces. The rift was not permanent, as it was with Hitler and some of his other Generals. Von Leeb joined the Führerreserve and remained there until the end of the war. He was tried for war crimes, but little hard evidence was provided against him, he was convicted and sentenced to time served and released. He died in 1956.)

Also note the report in column 1: "Italians Report Loss Of New Submarine"
(The report was true, albeit, nine months late. The Michele Bianchi, was launched on Dec. 3, 1939, so on July 5, 1941, when it was sunk by the British submarine HMS Tigris, it was a new boat. Michele Bianchi had a short career, sinking two ships totaling 11,320 tons and possibly assisting a German U-boat with sinking a third ship, but this has not, and never will be completely confirmed. When sunk the Michele Bianchi was carrying a crew of fifty-two men, none survived.)
