(This time the report was true, not sure why the British decided to allow this to be published so soon after the event. The unnamed submarine was U-581, which was sunk Feb. 2.)

Note the report in column 4: "Turkish Ship Sinking"
(Refah was sunk on June 20 by the Italian submarine Ondina by Tenente di vascello [Lieutenant] Corrado Dal Posso. It was true that the majority of those killed were Turkish military. There were about 20-25 survivors.)

(Destroyer sunk off Canadian coast.)
[This was true, HMS Belmont was sunk by U-82 off Halifax on Jan. 31. There were no survivors from the 138-man crew. That was the last ship sunk by U-82, which was attacked three times and was finally sunk, also with all hands on Feb. 6, trying to get back to France.]
