Note the report in columns 7-8: "Polio's Biggest Day - Shortage Of Nurses Grows; 31 New Cases"
(This is the latest update about the polio case in Rockland County, New York. According to an Aug. 4th report at CNBC, the polio virus has been detected in wastewater samples in two different locations in Orange County, New York. New York health officials said that the Orange County samples are further evidence of possible community spread of the virus. The report also states that the strain of the virus detected in New York is the same strain found in London and Jerusalem wastewater systems. The writer, Spencer Kimball, does not tell the reader anything about the person infected, therefore the public cannot determine if they may have come into contact with this person, or people who are associates of the infected person. This makes the situation even more dangerous for the public.)
