Note the report in column 8: "U-Boat Prien IS Missing"
(This report credits an unnamed source in Berlin stating that the German navy has confirmed that Günther Prien has not reported since Apr. 13. Other versions which were published earlier credit the Zurich correspondent of the Exchange Telegraph Agency for the report. No matter where the report originated, it was incorrect. The last signal sent by Prien was on Mar. 7-8, 1941, his boat, U-47, was sunk with all hands shortly after this. Since there were no survivors, the British did not know that they had sunk Prien's boat.)
