Note the report at bottom center: "Former British Submarine Seal Being Used By German Navy Is Claim; Captured After Damage"
(This report was true. HMS Seal was captured on May 4th after being bombed by German aircraft. The boat was commissioned into the Kriegsmarine as U-B and used for training and research on current British equipment and weapons. It was taken out of commission on July 31, 1940 and scuttled off Kiel in May 1945, the wreck was raised and scrapped.)

(The tanker Charles Pratt was sunk by U-65 making it the first U.S. owned ship sunk by direct enemy action in World War II. The ship was U.S. owned, but had been transferred to Panama making it a neutral ship.)
